About
Fatos is a passionate technologist bringing with him a wealth of experience from both the start-up and corporate world. He has a huge interest in Deep Learning and Data Engineering and has seen himself apply his skills in industries such as Financial Services, Retail, Public Sector, Biomass Energy Production, Media and Publishing. Fatos holds a BSc in Computer Science and a Master’s in Data Warehouses and Business Intelligence. He has worked for Oracle as a Cloud Architect and now works for Microsoft as a Data Solutions Architect. He is the founder of the Data Science Initiative community in London and the managing director of his startup consultancy firm Think Gradient.

I have also taken part in: - Presenting on Building a Scalable End to End Data Science Pipeline for a UK Investment Bank (Audience of over 60 people) - Assisted in running a Data Science hackathon with the Prince's Trust (Over 40 participants in the hackathon) - Launch of Big Data Discovery - Addressing Data Scientists (Audience of over 1000 people across EMEA) - Corporate Innovation Club - Future of AI and ML - Panel Discussion (part of the panel representing Oracle alongside Microsoft, IBM, Imperial College London)

    Android Developer - Contract
    Developed an Android app for a client of Conjure Ltd. The app essentially provided Skiing lessons in the form of multimedia content (video and audio). The app was built for the Android platform and it is part of a suite of apps. The basic app is SkiTips 1 which is targeted towards beginners. The other apps which are based on SkiTips 1 are SkiTips 2 and SkiTips 3 which are targeted towards more experienced Skiers. Some of the technical challenges during this project were: - Dealing with large amounts of data - Encryption/Decryption - Custom Download Manager - Providing a consistent user-friendly experience throughout the app The app followed a client-server architecture.
